Performances on uniquely custom designed range of Saxophones
About Rob Mach
A general glance…
The Early Years...
Rob is based in Bedfordshire and began learning the Sax in his early teens. Inspired to do so by his uncle Krys Mach who at the time was Level 42’s Saxophonist and a successful session musician in his own right he then went on to study Music at Middlesex University and hasn’t looked back since.
Setting out was tough and Rob began his musical career much like most, quite lost and mainly focusing on his Jazz performance. This involved frequenting all of the latest jam sessions and sitting in on as many sessions that he could possibly fit into a week. He then went on to running his own projects whilst picking up whatever regular work he could with various artists collaborations, at club nights and on the London function scene.
Rob held a two year full time residency at the Playboy Club London with the Greg Foat Group and as their in house solo Club Sax performer. There he entertained at numerous celebrity events, fashion launches, high roller members nights, exclusive Playboy parties and it was at this point he started to develop his own unique Club Sax sound and move full throttle into his own direction.
Since then he has played at almost every exclusive London venue there is, performed all over the world at club nights and a whole host of private and corporate events.
He is currently one of the Uk’s most in demand Club Sax performers and now has expanded his focus onto his own Sax DJ solo shows tailored specifically for private events and developing his unique range of Visual Saxophones.
Aside from the Visual Sax style of performance Jazz music has always been a constant, he has been working for years with Perry Louis and the initiative Focus On Jazz, bringing live music to the Luton area. He has run their popular Jazz Jam sessions for over 10 years in the town which are still going strong and run every 1st Sunday of the month at the Bear Club Luton. .
